I used to have the same problem until i discovered labelleo velvet rose. It's in a lip balm tube but has a slight natural healthy lip colour tone to it. it's not gooey and it protects your lips as well. Labello also has a lip gloss in the same line that adds a slight shimmer to your lips. it's very faint and if you use just a bit it's perfect too!!
if your looking for a more personal colour use a lip liner on your entire lip... faintly and top off with your favourite lip balm .
what about a sheer lipstick. Clinique do them and in loads of shades.
Try Stila Lip Rouge in a neutral color like Moue (neutral brown/red).
Superglue.
Works for my Wife, shuts her up for hours !!!
Tinted chapstick such as Cherry blistex.

I'm sorry that i can't help. I don't wear make-up and I'm glad. I don't have to mess with putting it on or taking it off and it saves me tons of money. But i did get a real big laugh over what psyhco had to say. My husband really liked it.
Avon makes a glazewear lip product that you apply with a spongetip applicator. It comes in several colors. I like the honey color.

it is a cheap drug store/grocery mart chain. you can find it anywhere they would sell cheap makeup. NOT at any department stores or a sephora type of store. stick to the drug stores like Rite Aid or Longs to find it.

AVON is great. I dont wear lipstick, but I have used their eye shadow and mascara and nail polish. All are quality and compareable to major brands from the store. The colors go on very well and stay on. I also have used body moisterizers for the skin and bath soaps..all are great
My sister sells Avon for extra income,and they have products that are just as good as the more expensive brands on the market. Their lipstick is nice ,as well their nail polish and bath oils. You should try looking at their catalog and they have all the available colors of lipsticks,nail polish,foundation as well as eye make up printed out to see. I don't know what your skin tone is so I wouldn't feel right recommending a color for you.But you should really give it a try...Good Luck!!! :)

I havent used Avon in years but Mary Kay has some that stay on for a long while and also the store Origins has some nice ones - light adn dark colors are nice.
